Creative Direction
Before the camera, there's the idea. Creative direction is the part where we work out what you want people to feel, what it should look like, and how every piece — film, photography, social, print — fits together. You can bring us in for the whole project or just this part.
Creative Direction, in detail.
- 01
Concept & storytelling
One clear idea that the whole project can grow from, written down so everyone shares it.
- 02
Art direction
Moodboards, colour, styling and locations — the look, decided on purpose.
- 03
Campaign planning
How the films, photos and posts work together across a launch or a season.
- 04
On-set direction
Someone on set whose only job is making sure what's shot matches the idea.
- Teams with a launch coming and lots of pieces to line up
- Businesses whose content feels scattered and wants one voice
- Other creatives who want a second eye on a project
From first idea to finished work.
- Step 01
Listen
We start with your goals, your audience and what's already working.
- Step 02
Define the idea
One direction, written and shown, so decisions later are easy.
- Step 03
Build the look
References, moodboards and a plan for every piece that needs making.
- Step 04
Guide the making
We stay involved through the shoot and the edit so the idea survives.
See it in practice.
Good to know.
What's the difference between creative direction and production?
Creative direction decides what to make and how it should feel; production is making it. We do both, but you can hire us for direction on its own.
Can you direct a project another team is shooting?
Yes. We can set the direction and work alongside your photographer, videographer or agency.
What do we get at the end of this stage?
A clear written idea and a visual direction — references, moodboards and a plan for what gets made.
