What we collect when you book with us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated October 15, 2026

01What we collect

Only what you give us when you book a session, book a call or send a project brief:

  • Your name, email address and (if you add it) phone number
  • The session, date, time and location you choose, and any notes you write
  • A record of what you paid and when — not your card details

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

02Why we use it

  • To schedule your session or call and send you the confirmation and invitation
  • To take payment, send invoices and issue refunds
  • To plan your shoot with you and deliver your photos
  • To keep the records the law requires, such as for tax

We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

03Who helps us

A few services handle parts of the process for us, each only for that purpose:

  • Stripe — processes payments and sends invoices and receipts. Klarna or Affirm, if you choose to pay with them.
  • Google Calendar — holds the booking calendar and sends your calendar invitation.
  • Hostinger — hosts this website and our email.

Some of these companies store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

04How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires (generally six years). Project briefs that don't become bookings are deleted within a year.

05Your rights

Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask to see the personal information Vcamra holds about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for anything not needed for a booking you've made. Email kian@vcamra.com and we'll reply within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

06Your photos

Photos from your session are kept securely so we can deliver them and re-send them if needed. We only feature them publicly with your permission, through our image release form.
